Healthcare Management Apprenticeships Home Health Director Apprenticeship WHAT: The Home Health Director Apprenticeship is designed for Good Samaritan employees to provide enhanced training through print based, on-line and self-study courses supported by mentors who enhance the on-the-job learning. Nurses who complete the training receive a nationally registered certificate of completion from the Department of Labor. The apprenticeship provides on-the-job learning through a performance based training model that enhances managerial skills and knowledge through competency based education. The coursework includes videos and self-study modules. On-the-job skills are developed through a mentoring structure that utilizes local area experts and/or mentor cohort groups. AVAILABLE AREA: The training is designed for those either beginning a position as a home health agency director at any Good Samaritan sites, or preparing to do so.
